Linked-In certainly is a great example of a user interface which manages to present (or provide access to) a significant amount of information in a really user focused way, and as you say for the professionals and career focused individuals of the world its a really powerful networking tool. In case you haven't seen the application, we use PlanHQ for our business planning and strategy, and just in the last week it has had a user interface and user experience overhaul, which is another great example of delivering lots of content using an engaging and intuitive interface. Linked-In certainly is a great example of a user interface which manages to present (or provide access to) a significant amount of information in a really user focused way, and as you say for the professionals and career focused individuals of the world its a really powerful networking tool.

And it's great that it is more focused on the professional/career aspect than the social aspect ( such as facebook and others..) And i love it's simple/clean design, as it's friendly to it's users.
