I realise this was authored quite a while ago (8 months or more), but I have put together my own appraisal of Kohana and have framed some of Kohana's missing features and possible threats to its chances of enterprise adoption. These are based on my own experiences as a developer at Yahoo! and other companies.

[...] Az ott kezdődött, hogy pénteken becsipogtak a weblaboron egy egy évvel ezelőtti cikket: Rasmus Lerdorf: PHP Frameworks? Think Again. Ez a cikk kicsit megindította a fantáziám. Vajon tényleg jó-e minden framework? Érdemes-e környezettudatosnak lenni, vagy inkább duplázzunk hardver-t, ne foglalkozzunk alapvetően a sebességgel? Mi alapján döntsek framework ügyben? Rasmus Lerdorf a php alapítója, és jelenleg is fejlesztője. Kicsit beleolvastam a cikkjeibe, a The no-framework PHP MVC framework passzol a gondolatmentemhez. Hozzájött még ez és ez és ez.
Thanks for the comparison.
I've checked out a lot of frameworks (CakePHP, CodeIgniter, Zend Framework, Symfony and Kohana) in the last months. Last week I found a new framework called Yii. The documentation is good and it comes along with features like CLI-methods for building models and controllers. Give it a try under http://www.yiiframework.com/.

Note that a community contributed module repository for Kohana can be found at http://code.google.com/p/kohanamodules/.

You might also want to check out PAL, a framework I developed in the past few months, to be faster than CodeIgniter and more powerful (though not as powerful as Zend).

Hopefully you'll find it a pleasure to use. It does stuff including ORM easily for you and still clocks in at under codeigniter.

I'd like to make it into a thriving opensource project. Anyone who wants to help is welcome -- email me.
